The Hazelnut Bakery began in 2008 when Hazel and Chris started making celebration cakes for close family and friends. With more practise and experience behind them, their reputation grew with cakes being ordered for celebrations across the country! Currently based at their family home in Oldham, delicious smells from the baking cakes and cupcakes in the busy kitchen fill the entire house, and the sugarcraft workroom is full of beautiful modelled flowers and characters ready to adorn the lovely freshly baked cakes. ![]() After studying Food Technology and Art, Hazel has enjoyed being creative with cake designs and works to make the beautiful creations you can see in our picture galleries! She has a particular fondness for characters, especially Children's Cartoons and Wallace and Gromit models, as recipients of these cakes are always particularly delighted! She also runs a cake club with young people who have learning disabilities at the Newbridge Centre, which is a part of the Together Trust. Watch this space! We are very proud to be working in partenership with the Together Trust, and at our events and cake stalls have information on the Trust, collection tins, stickers and teddy bear keyrings alongside our ever-popular CAKE RAFFLE, where money donated directly benefits the young people and gives you a chance to win one of our amazing cakes!
